Help Heroes at Home

Fundraiser by Mary Lawless Lee helping healthcare and medical workers through the support of small businesses. Help Heroes At Homes uses 100% of the funds raised to purchase gift cards from local restaurants and small businesses to then be distributed to healthcare professionals who are risking safety and well-being during the COVID-19 crisis.

Baldwin Park Animal Shelter

Los Angeles County animal care center and dog adoption facility. Part of the LA County Animal Care & Control organization whose mission is to lead the nation in protecting people and animals through compassionate care, community education, proactive intervention, and effective enforcement.  

Mask a Hero NY

New York anesthesiologists Dr. Kars and Dr. Levin teamed up to spread the word about hospitals urgently needing N95 face masks around the country. By partnering with Dr. Lakesha Legree of North Carolina they were able to create a nationwide donation platform "Mask a Hero". 

Mask Match

A peer-to-peer platform helping people with spare N95 surgical masks send them directly to healthcare workers on the front lines who need them - without needing to leave their house. 

Get Us PPE

A grassroots movement founded by physicians and medical researchers on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic. Their mission is to build a national, centralized platform to enable communities to get protective equipment to healthcare providers. 

River Fund NY

Recognized as an organization that is always coming up with innovative ways to fight hunger, homelessness and poverty in dozens of city neighborhoods. Beyond hunger relief, The River Fund NY provides nutritional education, income support and benefits enrollment services. 

Food Bank for New York City

Their mission is to end hunger by organizing food, information and support for community survival, empowerment and dignity. As New York City's largest hunger relief organization, they employ a multifaceted approach centered on helping low-income New Yorkers overcome their circumstances and achieve greater independence. 

CDC Foundation

Supports the critical health protection work of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. It is raising emergency response funds to enable the CDC to respond to COVID-19. 

Dairy Council of California

Millions of students rely on school meals for nourishment, and while schools are closed they have a balanced nutrition program which offers free meal services to children, ages 12-18, living in communities throughout California.

NYC Common Pantry

New York City's largest community-based food pantry designed to meet the needs of families by providing culturally-appropriate and nutritiously based food. 

LA Food Bank

Los Angeles regional food bank that distributes food and other essentials to children, seniors, families and other individuals in need. They serve more than 300,000 people every month. 

Los Angeles Mission

LA Mission exists to provide help, hope and opportunity to men, women and children in need. They provide emergency services, bridge housing, food baskets, rehabilitation programs, and a free legal clinic.

No Kid Hungry

A national campaign run by Share Our Strength, a nonprofit working to solve problems of hunger and poverty in the United States and around the world. Their main mission is to end childhood hunger by providing meals, nutritional education, and research into different communities. 

Meals on Wheels America 

A program that provides support for seniors by delivering meals to their homes. Frequent in-home visits provide unique opportunities to meet nutritional needs, combat social isolation, address safety hazards, and provide holistic care. 

Invisible Hands Deliver

A group of engaged volunteers from communities at the least risk for severe COVID-19 reactions working to bring groceries and supplies to those in high-risk demographics. 

One Fair Wage

An organization that is advancing policy, driving industry change, and shifting the narrative in order to ensure that all workers in America are paid at least the full minimum wage from their employers. 

Restaurant Workers Community Foundation

A nationwide community dedicated to making the restaurant industry more hospitable for everyone. 

James Beard Foundation 

A nonprofit  organization whose mission is to celebrate, nurture, and honor chefs and other leaders making America's food culture more deliciousdiverse, and sustainable for everyone. 

Donors Choose

Started by a history teacher from Bronx this organization helps teachers across the country get donations to support their classroom projects. All public school teachers have the opportunity to request funds for a project and the donors can choose who they want to support. 

Save the Children

Every child deserves a future - that is Save the Children's motto. Founded over 100 years ago this organization works in the United States and around the world to provide children in need with medical care, education, shelter, and emergency services. 

First Book

First Book's models are built to address the systematic causes of educational inequality and create permanent change- not simply in the life of one child who wants to learn, but across the entire education system. They focus on providing high-quality books and other learning tools to low-income communities and their classrooms.
